In General

Flow metering applications take many forms - often satisfied by standard products. Sometimes pre-manufactured flow meters are unable to meet specific application criteria. This is when Flow Meter Design can offer solutions to otherwise "insolvable" problems.

We design Flow meters to suit the widest range of applications:

Flow Meter Design

The design process starts with your requirement specification.
This is then matched to a suitable flow meter type.
Service parameters are detailed to ensure that the proposed specification meets the duty and expectations for the application.
Meter design calculations and pre-manufacture drawings may then be submitted for approval before manufacture.
Finally - the completed meter will be calibrated and (non-destructive) tested as appropriate prior to despatch.

System Design

Filton's Metering systems are turnkey projects where:

Your overall requirements are converted into a fully integrated system specification.
A nominated project co-ordinater will be appointed.
The system will be designed and verified by different members of the System Engineering Department to help eliminate design shortfalls.
Sub-order and Progress schedules will be compiled to monitor the project's development.
Sub-assemblies will be completed and tested as appropriate.
The final system will be assembled, tested for factory acceptance, dismantled into shipping packages.
After shipping, site assembly and commissioning will be completed as appropriate before final hand-over.
